Infrastructure Migration to AWS (Scheduled)
  • Priority - Low
  • Affecting Server - SVR1
  • We strive to keep our service running as reliably as possible. As part of our commitment to this, we constantly review our infrastructure and find ways to improve this where we can.

Therefore, we are planning to migrate our entire hosting infrastructure to AWS. This will provide us with several benefits, including increased performance and better backup facilities, which will in turn improve the service in which we can provide to you, as the client.

We have been working hard over the past few months to plan the migration to be as seamless as possible.

The migration will start on Friday 8th May at 23:00 and is scheduled to end at 06:00. Whilst this window may seem large, we only expect downtime and service interruption for a much smaller window.

As a result of the migration, we will be changing our main hosting IP address. For most of our customers, this will be managed for you automatically. For a small subset of customers, you may need to manually amend your DNS records to point to our new IP.

All DNS records which currently point to the IP address 35.187.36.33 should be updated to 35.179.41.103. This should be completed no sooner than Monday 11th May. All customers still pointing to the old IP will have their traffic forwarded automatically to the new IP for a small period.

Those customers which will not be handled automatically will be contacted.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
